About Me

Felix K. Nesi is an author from the small town of Insana in West Timor, located in the Indonesian province of East Nusa Tenggara not far from the border of Timor Leste. His novel Orang-Orang Oétimu was awarded the prize for best manuscript by the Jakarta Arts Council in 2018, and won the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture’s literary award in 2021.

He participated in writer’s residency 2019 in the Netherlands organized by the Indonesian National Book Committee. In 2022, he was invited to participate in the International Writing Program in the University of Iowa.

He has made critically-acclaimed work inspired by history and colonialism, which brought him opportunities to speak about literature and conflict resolution at various events.
